We are blessed to be able to work with local Middle and High Schools. The needs vary, but at BDRR we work diligently to meet the needs of our differently abled guests.
Blissful riders are riders that we serve of ALL ages and ALL different abilities. We have a variety of BDRR riders that come to the farm to help with depression, eating disorders, anxiety, ADD, ADHD, autism, cerebral palsy, oppositional defiance disorder, foster kids, juveniles in group homes, and riders that deal with many other challenges.
Our mission is to help each rider and horse that comes to our ranch realize and know that they each have a God given purpose, regardless of our abilities.
A residential home for children and adolescents that focuses on those who have had issues related to school, family, and/or the community. Pinelands aims to help those with defiance, substance abuse, aggression, and truancy. Pinelands brings groups of 5 out to BDRR every Friday, alternating males and females to ride and enjoy the animals and outdoors. They have to have good behavior in order to earn coming out to the ranch. This privilege allows them to have something to look forward to, and we've also found that the kids that visit go back and tell the others about their positive experience. Blissful Dreams Rescue Ranch has helped motivate many of them to have good behavior in order to earn at trip out to BDRR.
It is our hope that we can be examples of God and show His love to each of them, a love that many of them have never experienced.
Senior Group Home
Blissful Dreams makes visits to a local Assisted Living Facility. It is there that you can see real joy from Senior Citizens when they get to relive childhood dreams while touching a pony like Mouse or see the spark in their eye watching the ponies or dogs.
We believe there is more to give to our community than what is done within the perimeter of the farm. We believe being the hands and feet of Jesus stretches us beyond borders.
We are in the process of creating a Veterans program at BDRR. This will include retires as well as those with needs like PTSD. If you are interested in supporting this effort, let us know.
